Projects Galore ~ A Sneak Peek for the Vintage Gathering!

I've been a busy bee the last two weeks
painting
sanding
gluing
nailing
creating...
Here's a sneak peek of what I'm bringing to this weekend's sale at the Vintage Gathering..

I love how my chairs turned out..so cute!

Yes, this is my tent
in my barn
that houses my 'stuff'.

Cabinets, boxes with cubbies, window memory boards, old chairs, frames..

Screens, stools, vintage paper umbrellas, bird cages...

Fabric, flowers...

Vintage buttons galore, vintage knobs, vintage photos...

Benches, rusty plant holders, shelves...

Shabbied dresser...

Metal planters, Wash tubs, tables..

Jars, stools, enamel ware, silverware, (somewhere!)...

Gas cans, old farm tools, fencing, strainers, vintage kitchen tools...

Tubs and tubs of treasures...

A way cool, way old map that hangs on a wall

Ok, not vintage, but I'm selling my pub table with two chairs, it just doesn't work in my home anymore. And no, it doesn't always look like that, all that's coming with too!

..and a bench that I've loved but am now changing out.

So that's just my stuff, you haven't even seen what Sally's bringing.
actually I haven't either
It ALWAYS comes together beautifully...can't wait to see you Friday evening or Saturday day!!

IT's going to be HUGE!!

I am soooo excited about the upcoming Vintage Gathering Flea Market!! It's going to be fabulous, and you really won't want to miss it..
trust
me
on
this!

Picture tea lights everywhere,
     lanterns strung,
along with a cheery, popping campfire
and the scent of perfectly toasted (or burnt) marshmallows wafting on the air,
while LIVE music by 'Wailen Jenn and Friend' play to liven up the atmosphere
as you peruse the best in vintage from 20 different vendors.
That's Friday evening's candlelight sale! 5pm to 9pm!

Saturday, 'Wailen Jenn and Friend' will again be performing LIVE music and we'll have a AWESOME food vendor on site: The Field Kitchen. They provided the food at our flea market behind the shop last year, and I think I sampled just about everything they offered...
ok, I probably shouldn't admit that.
They'll even have espresso.
EaRly shoppers can savor their coffee..
EaRly. vendors. who. need. their. coffee ;-).

I've been outside pounding projects out like all beats all, and coercing my kids into helping me. I offered them cold hard cash to help me clean, haul stuff, etc., they renegotiated for 3 more levels on their video game (my oldest even wanted me to shake on it). Alright, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, especially when it comes to crunch time!
Can't wait for July 29th and 30th..we're having a party and you are our honored guest!
See you then ;-)

Got Coffee?

I'd like to introduce you to Eric and Trudy.....

(aren't they adorable??)...they just opened a WONDERFUL lil' coffee shop in LaCenter. (209 E. 4th St.)

Yep, they converted the front of their house into a Sweet Coffee House.

They'll even bring your coffee to you if you can't make it up the steps.

They sell divine treats compliments of Sadie and Josie's Bakery, another F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. LaCenter business, to compliment their tasty coffee.

I've tried several of their featured flavors, haven't had one that I don't like, and of course even my kids are sneaking sips out of my coffee cup, so you know it's gotta be good! My son is partial to their Coconut Mocha (tastes like Mounds).

The perfect gift for the coffee lovers in your life.
(Ahem: hint, hint, if any of you ever want to give me a gift in the future)

So not only is LaCenter my hometown and of course I'm HUGE on supporting small businesses, especially those just getting started, 'cuz we've been there!, but Trudy was also one of our very talented consignors in the shop for quite some time. Her vendor name is Verlie Estelle, perhaps you remember her wonderful space. She's back at it in her coffee house, which just adds to the ambience of the already little gem of a coffee house tucked in the town of LaCenter....oh, and yes, her stuff is for sale!

Congratulations Eric and Trudy on your new business venture, we wish you abundant blessings!
