Fun at the Fall Fleamarket!

Vintage Gathering's Fall Flea Market went out with a bang!
Friday evening shopping was perfect weather for a fall evening, Saturday...not. so. much.
We do live in the Pacific Northwest, which I'm thankful for, but sometimes the rain could really consult us first.
Nonetheless, the show must go on, and on it did! Wander with me...

Remembering.

So where were you that fateful day?

My husband was working nights at the time and we had just found out days before 9/11 that I was pregnant with our first child. I was in the kitchen of our little home fixing breakfast and hadn't turned the radio or the tv on when my husband rushed in the door from work and told me what had happened.
Sadness and terror struck my heart and clutched my stomach where our unborn child grew.
Since 2001, members of my family have been deployed multiple times, and worked 24/7 in law enforcement to protect our local cities. They have all come home safe and sound. I thank God for that. My heart grives for those who haven't come home.

The day that people say changed America.
 It changed in my home.
Being free and living in America, I no longer take for granted. I am proud to say the pledge of allegiance with my children, proud to say I am an American and thankful to live where I do.

Remembering with you all, and thanking our military and armed forces, men and women, for their sacrifice. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
Lisa
