Well, it's done. We've put our beloved Uncovered Ruby to bed. Dismantling the building, packing up, closing accounts, cleaning and filling in the holes in the walls, it was like someone was leaving our lives. My husband reminded me to remember all the good times and not how it was in the end. UR became an entity in our lives, and that is something that will be missed. I know that all you business owners, former and current understand the emotions involved with this. We had a good run which we put a lot of heart into and for that we're so proud and thankful!
To our dear, very dear, friends who have been a part of this venture since day 1, we love you. To our community of faithful customers, you're wonderful. We are planning on doing a flea market this summer in July with The Vintage Gathering group. More info will be posted on here. We're also tossing around different ideas to post on the blog, tutorials and such, so the blog won't be going anywhere for the time being.
Thank you for joining us on this journey...until later!

Counting Down
Only 2 days left to shop Uncovered Ruby. The cool workbench that I wrote about in the last post with pics has been marked down to $250. This is our biggest piece in the shop and we've really got to move it!

Workbench and check out counter for sale!
The really old workbench that we found as we opened the shop has been an important part of our business and was never for sale, until now. Many, many people have inquired as to whether or not we would sell it over the years, now's the time. The measurements are:
110" long, 36" tall, and 26" deep. We're asking $499.
It has wheels on the bottom and while it's missing two drawers, that can easily be remedied with a little bit of wood and baskets. This baby has held lots and lots of supplies for us over the years and has patiently weathered all the wrapping of merchandise!
The possibilities are endless...potting bench, fantastic island if you've got that big of a kitchen!, garage work area....definitely rustic.
I'm selling my check out counter for any of you fellow business owners that might be interested.
It's still being used for business obviously, so this isn't a pretty picture, just to show you what it looks like. It has two shelves and measures 2' by 4' and is 42 1/2 " tall. We had our fabric skirt wrapped around it which was just velcroed on. It has two shelves in the back of it. Asking price is $99.
Several (not all) vendors have their spaces on sale, 20 to 50% off. Items are going quickly, but there is still a lot of quality merchandise. Last sale day is Sat., Feb. 25th.

Hanging Our For Sale Sign Up
There is no easy way to say this so I'll just cut to the chase:
After 4 1/2 years, Uncovered Ruby, the sweet little shop that Sally and I started together with our blood (literally), sweat, tears and lots and lots of prayer, is now for sale.
The shop that God opened the doors for in every aspect and tiny detail has been such a huge blessing in our lives (and many of our dear friends) and continues to be a blessing to the community of Battle Ground and beyond.
Life is always changing. It is our hope and vision to see the shop continue under the nurturing hands of another.
I know that I speak for both of us, when I say that Sally and I have learned a great deal about ourselves, our gifts, people and business.
I'm so happy to have made so many new friends in blog land these past 4 years that I've been honored to become friends with in real life.
If you're interested in purchasing an established business with a great clientele, either email us at Uncoveredruby@yahoo.com or call Sally at the shop at 360.687.0422.

Well, I'm late on taking Christmas music off and now I'm late on wishing you a blessed 2012. The sentiment remains the same though! Here's to a new year!
