Hey all you shoppers!!

There's a great new store in Vancouver that just opened. Ok, so I haven't been there myself, but I've viewed pictures from my friend Pam who has, and I am really liking this store. It runs on donations, much like Salvation Army and Goodwill, HOWEVER, ALL the profits from items sold there go to ministries. WOW!!
It's run by volunteers who have a heart for helping others. Sounds like they're always looking for more volunteers too, a great way to get connected, help our community and get first dibs on donated treasures :-).
Aptly named, The Re-Gifting Store is located at
2635 MacArthur Blvd. Vancouver, WA 98662

A Vintage Gathering

What a great day for a flea market, not too hot, not too cold, just right. People were waiting in their cars for the clock to chime 8 a.m. while we did our last minute finishing touches on setting up. Cookies and lemonade beckoned our guests all day and wonderful wares were found abundantly. Participating in a flea market is largely social for me, I love to meet new people and visit with new acquaintances. This group of ladies that have naturally formed and started doing flea markets together is such a fun group, and talent just oooozes all over! How can I help but be drawn into the excitement??? Here's some pics of our day.....

To begin with, our wonderful hostess, Cathy, who absolutely blesses us by letting us set up with her on her adorable property. It's the perfect location for a flea market, lots of charm!
And yes, I can't believe I actually caught her sitting down, that woman has more energy than anyone else I know.

We've always referred to them as 'the pyrex people' that do our flea markets with us, however they do have names, Veronica and Matt, a wonderful couple with just about any piece of pyrex you might be looking for.

I'm not sure why I never managed to get a picture of the two of them together, but I did manage to take a pic of their sweet daughter Katherine, who always comes and helps with the markets. Today was a sleepy day for her, late night, early morning. I don't know how on earth she was able to sleep with a crowd of people wandering through all the time.

This little fellow was something that Katherine had her eye on for quite awhile. When she fell asleep her mama bought it for her, and gently set it next to her while I snapped another pic of her, which of course she slept through!

Thank goodness she liked the little cow, because Cathy's cow would've been too big for her lap!

The upcoming schedule for Harris Farms:

Lori always has a great variety of country ware, I like her style!

This cool red/white trunk had a glass top, coffee table????

The sweet Sue and her Birdsong treasures. Look at her terrific shirt, Mary Jo of Faded Rosie made it out of all vintage material, looks cozy!

Sweet smelling basil...

Mary Jo's new sign....

The adorable sisters, Gina and Michelle. Michelle has My Shabby Passion and I have to say the amount of stuff that she gathers for each sale is truly amazing. And as far as I can tell, she doesn't even pull anything out of her space at Uncovered Ruby. Seems like her and I are always the last ones there still setting up! Good to have company :-).

And here's another wonderfully cute set of sisters, Charlene and Marlene. My first time meeting them, they were so much fun, it felt like I'd known them a long time. They had some great things, and they didn't have to go anywhere to find their treasures. They were cleaning out their parents' attic, and WOW did they have some great finds, obviously enough to do a flea market!

I bought a very sweet little red stool from them, which I neglected to take a pic of because I was too busy running it out to the truck so nobody would try and buy it from me!

My lovely friend Florence, she came first thing and bought this old icebox from Cathy. A great find Florence!

And yet, more lovely sisters whom I also cherish. Miranda and Amber, they come out to each show we do, it's so nice to see their smiling faces.

We even had a bonsai booth there this time, they were quite cool.

A gal from North Carolina liked my butter churn crock so much she bought it and is shipping it home.

Some of the traditional Uncovered Ruby colors, red, white and black. I love how classy they are together.

Well that's it folks, hope you enjoyed the pictures. This flea market is done, but we're already gearing up for the next one on Saturday, September 12th. We'll have a Fall theme, it's sure to be a grand time. Hope to see you there!

All kinds of garden art to tickle your fancy...
