Dear Lisa,
Avocados don't do very good with real cold or real hot weather. They are really fussy. They really like coastal weather the best. We have one that has done okay here, but we need more than just one to get as much as we could eat. :) The thing about gardening is it is all a big science experiment so just have fun.
